After receiving a BSc in Industrial Design with an emphasis on Human-Centered Design, I started my career working for an industry-leading telescope manufacturer. This position combined my passion for photography, astronomy, and design engineering to help develop the first astrophotography embedded telescope system.
Backed by a thorough understanding of design thinking, human-centered design, and other creative problem-solving techniques, I consider human interaction throughout my process. This is aided by my diverse cultural background and intellectual pursuit in social sciences. As an avid traveler having spent significant periods of time in various countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, I draw upon cultural insights providing a high level of awareness to my work.
Currently pursuing an MFA in 4D Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art, my present practice lives at the intersection of the physical-digital realm, creating high fidelity prototypes with the use of embedded sensors, LEDs, motors, and microcontrollers. Using my background in Industrial Design, my work always starts with a defined problem and ends with a solution that provides an elegant and intuitive user experience.
Travel Experience: Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
